WHAT WE ARE
Greater Than is an events company. We create and run our own events, and build bespoke ones for partners.
Our events bring together four sectors: corporates, brands, charities and communities. Each comes with its own goal, whether that's engaging its people, building an audience, raising money or growing its reach. Any of them could run an event on its own. Coming together in ours, around shared goals, each makes a far greater impact with fewer resources. That's the idea behind Greater Than.

Every Greater Than event is original, and every one is built with big ambitions. Two principles shape everything we make.
We don't run events that have been done before. Every idea has to pass one test: when we tell someone about it, they say
"Oh, that's cool. I haven't seen anything like that!"
Each event has its own format and its own rules. Never forced. Always invited: open to everyone, and designed so people want in.
We use brand new technology to carry each event's impact far beyond the people taking part. Our technology partners build new features with us: RunnerBeam's live tracking lets thousands follow the race in real time, and GiveWheel puts fundraising at the heart of the event. Our content partners, Standard Play Studios and Boathouse Productions, turn every event into stories worth watching.

IT STARTED WITH NORTH V SOUTH.
In 2019, with a group of mates who wanted to make an impact. Seven years on, it's the UK's biggest relay race: Edinburgh to Cardiff to London, millions of views and over £180,000 raised for charity.
Along the way, we saw what happens when runners, charities, brands and tech startups pull in the same direction. Every one of them got more out of it than they could have alone.
North v South proved the model. Greater Than exists to build more: events that make a cultural impact, here in the UK and around the world.

FOUNDERA chartered accountant with a creative streak. Matt built his career in finance and start-ups while creating content and telling stories on the side. Greater Than's events combine both: meticulous planning and a creative vision for real cultural impact.
