WHAT WE COLLECT AND WHY

Enquiries. When you use our enquiry form or email us, we collect your name, email address, organisation, the type of organisation you represent, and your message. We use this only to reply to you and to discuss working together.

Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: responding to people who contact us about our events and services. Where you are asking us to prepare a proposal or contract, we also rely on taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.

Website visits. Our hosting provider records basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. We use this to keep the site secure and working, and to see anonymous visitor totals. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests.

We do not send marketing emails, sell your information, or use it for automated decision-making.

WHO WE SHARE IT WITH AND HOW LONG WE KEEP IT

We share personal information only with service providers who process it on our behalf and under our instructions:

  • Netlify hosts this website and stores enquiry form submissions.
  • Google Workspace provides our email service.

Some of these providers may store data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where they do, the transfer is protected by safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as the UK–US data bridge or approved contract terms.

We may also disclose information if required by law.

We keep enquiries for up to two years after our last contact with you, then delete them. If we go on to work together, we keep the records needed for that work, and for tax and accounting purposes, for as long as the law requires.

COOKIES AND EMBEDDED VIDEO

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Our visitor statistics come from our hosting provider's server records, not cookies.

Our About page includes a video hosted on YouTube, embedded in privacy-enhanced mode. YouTube does not set cookies until you press play. If you play the video, YouTube's own privacy policy applies to that viewing.

Our links to LinkedIn and Instagram take you to those platforms, whose own privacy policies apply.

YOUR RIGHTS AND HOW TO COMPLAIN

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete
  • ask us to delete your information
  • ask us to restrict or stop using your information, including objecting to processing based on legitimate interests
  • ask us to transfer information you gave us to another organisation

To use any of these rights, email or call us using the details above. We will respond within one month.

Complaints. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal information, you can complain to us directly by email, phone or post. We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days, look into it, and tell you the outcome.

If you are still not satisfied, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
